Forane® 516A - R-134a Replacement Designed to Drive to Very Low GWP with Existing Equipment Designs

Forane® 516A (R-516A) is a very close match to R-134a properties, azeotropic composition (zero glide), and mildly flammable (A2L).  It is a long-term solution as it has a very Low-GWP (< 150).  Forane® 516A has good compatibility with existing system components for R-134a or R-1234yf.  In screw chiller evaluation, Forane® 516A demonstrated similar performance in existing technology as well as design compatibility. It has potential for use in existing R-134a equipment with little to or no change.  Forane® 516A is the only long-term solution to maintain a similar footprint to R-134a screw chillers.

Forane® 32 and Forane® HTS 1233zd

Forane® 32 has a unique balance of cost, performance, low GWP, and availability, making it a growing choice for HVAC. Forane® 32 (HFC-32 or R-32) is one of the next generation low GWP (675) solutions being implemented globally. R-32 is a refrigerant gas for air conditioning, with high capacity and zero glide. Forane® 32 is growing in consensus as the choice for new air conditioning units, designed for mildly flammable refrigerants as a replacement for R-410A (GWP 2088).

Forane® HTS 1233zd is a sustainable choice for chillers, with high efficiency, ultra-low GWP, and non-ODS.  Safe to use, R-1233zd is non-flammable, has the lowest toxicity level, is low pressure and versatility.  Forane® HTS 1233zd is usable with Mineral Oil, POE, or PVE.

Forane® FBA 1233zd

Forane® FBA 1233zd is a high performance, low global warming potential (GWP) liquid blowing agent that is SNAP approved for most polyurethane (PU) applications, including residential appliance, commercial refrigeration, construction panels and doors, as well as spray foam. Forane® FBA 1233zd is non-flammable, liquid blowing agent.
